To help the number of cats we do each year costs approximately £60,000.
With this money we look after about 500 cats and kittens until they are homed. We also help cat owners in the area with food and litter, arrange for strays to be neutered and for cats to receive vet treatment.
Last year our vet bill came to over £30,000. We arrange many fundraising events, but the income from these does not always keep pace with our expenditure.
If you are able to make a donation, however small, we would gratefully receive it via a number of methods:
The quickest and easy way to send us a donation. Just Giving allows you to transfer any amount you wish, and by including Gift Aid, we're able to reclaim an additional 25% from HMRC.
Another way to send us online donations. However, in addition to direct donations (including Gift Aid), Every Click allows you to "Give as you live" so we can receive small donations as part of everyday online shopping transactions.
If you would like to donate something tangible to the kitties instead of money, we have a wishlist on Amazon including all of the items the cats need right now - ranging from food to toys. Any purchases from our wishlist will be delivered directly to us.
Our treasurer, Sarah, is happy to receive donations in the form of cheques from those who aren't able to donate online. Cheques should be made payable to "Cats Protection Southend and District Branch", and sent to 237 Eastwood Road North, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, SS9 4ND.
Regular donations can be set up via standing order. If you would like to do this, please contact Sarah using the details on our Contact Us page.
